Course Curriculum
Our course is organized into comprehensive modules covering all aspects of photography
- Evolution of photography and how today’s tools (DSLR, mirrorless, AI) sit in that history, showing why fundamentals still matter.
- Types of photography (portrait, street, product, landscape, etc.) so students identify what they want to specialize in.
- Micro four thirds / 35mm / medium / large format, TLR, rangefinders, DSLR & mirrorless: what each is good for and why pros still choose certain formats today.
- “Understand your gear better than 90% of people who just ‘shoot on auto’ – this is where you stop guessing.”
- Seeing the subject, seeing light, rules of composition, creative use of exposure, and the art of composition.
- Use before/after examples to show how one simple change in framing or light makes the same scene look “cheap” vs “cinematic”
- ISO, shutter speed, aperture, available light, and how they interact to create mood and motion.
- Practical exercises where students deliberately create motion blur, freeze action, shallow depth of field, and deep focus for storytelling.
- DSLR & mirrorless features and settings, front and back‑button focus, tracking high‑speed subjects, creative focus techniques, split focus, focus points and clusters.
- Practical indoor focus class: live drills so they stop getting soft, missed shots in real‑world situations.
- In‑camera and external metering, types of metering, practical indoor metering class.
- White balance / color temperature, how to use WB intentionally to create warm, cold, or neutral moods.
- What depth of field is and how to use it for storytelling, directing attention, and separating subject from background.
- Exercises with portraits, objects, and streets to show how DoF changes narrative.
-
- Indoor & outdoor lighting: sunlight, artificial lights, studio lights, speedlights, flash.
- How to read light direction, quality, and color to decide where to place subjects and which camera settings to use.
-
-
- “You’ll never say ‘the light was bad’ again – you’ll know how to bend it to your story.”
-
Modern Editing & AI‑Enhanced Workflow
Here is where you intentionally add AI, framed as a pro’s time‑saving ally, not a replacement for skill. Basic Editing Foundations- RAW conversion, cropping, removing flaws, retouching, color correction, swapping between frames, and fundamental photo editing techniques.
- Introduction to key software (Lightroom, Photoshop or equivalents) with a simple, repeatable workflow from import to export. AI Editing & Automation
- How AI tools can assist with:
- Culling (auto‑selecting best shots).
- Auto‑adjustments for exposure, white balance, noise, and basic retouch. Style‑matching and batch editing so large sets look consistent.
- Creative uses: AI‑assisted sky replacement, background cleanup, and subtle relighting, with a discussion on ethics and transparency.
- “Instead of fighting AI, you’ll learn to make it your assistant so you spend more time shooting and less time stuck in front of a laptop.”
- Guided photowalk focusing on composition, exposure, focus, and light, followed by a review of photographs.
- Students receive specific, written or verbal feedback so they know exactly what to fix and what to keep doing.
- 10–20 best images per student will be curated from the course, with basic / AI‑assisted edits applied for showcasing the portfolio
Upon successful completion of the course and after finishing Theory and practical tests, Diploma certificates will be awarded to the students.
